Like 3D printing, the Haken Continuum Fingerboard is cool but out-of-reach for most.
We’re seeing some advances in iPad apps that simulate similar expressivity.
But progress is coming slowly — the Continuum was introduced in ~2002, so it’s been nearly a decade.
I’m hopeful more alternative controllers will make it to the masses, where by scale, they’ll be profitably sustainable. Sure is hard breaking people away from the traditional black-and-whites though.
